Pseudotsuga menziesii

Douglas-fir

Douglas fir is a conifer similar to spruces and firs, from which it differs in its more delicate appearance. It has a broadly conical, softly but regularly built crown. The Douglas fir is a very tall, fast-growing tree, the second tallest conifer in the world. The trees grow to a height of 60-75 m or more. Trees with a diameter of 1.5-2 m are common in old stands.
