Common oak

The Common oak isdeciduous tree of the beech family; together with the Pedunculate oak it is the most important deciduous tree in Central Europe after the beech. It reachesheight of 20 to 40 metres. It has a slender, ovoid or irregular crown, even internally foliated, and is smaller in size (and ofshorter age) than the Pedunculate oak.
